This was written as part of the entertainment for an evening of a Scout Leaders training weekend. The the theme was Sweden and the obvious choice was sing something by ABBA. The wife didn’t like this idea, and neither would anyone else if they’d heard her sing, so I came up with this as an alternative. This play was written for a Cubs Christmas show, another Leader came up with the idea and I filled in the gaps and wrote the script. The Cast:- Teddy Clown Robot Doll Soldier Puppet Anything in italics like this is an action, not speech. Six toys are sitting on a shelf waiting to be taken by Santa to places around the world. This particular version was adapted from ‘The Hungarian Cinderella Sketch’. This sketch was written by a group of Cub Leaders for a training weekend as one of the evenings entertainments. I was one of those leaders, and played one of the Ugly Gouchos (formally known as ugly sisters). This sketch is to be done without any emotion or expression at all. 20th Century Peter Pan This is an adaptation of Peter Pan by J M Barrie, well the Disney story book version anyway. It was written for a Christmas play for the Scout Group I was with at the time. There were no girl Cubs or Scouts at the time which is why there is only two female characters, we managed to get one Scout to play Tinkerbell and Tiger Lily was played by another Scout’s little sister.
